Jason RoseThe purpose of this site is a simple example of my ability to put together a weebly website populated with some of my accomplishments through Photography and digital content with various Adobe products like Photoshop, Lightroom, and After Effects. The banner ad to the right is a flash file created in After Effects.
I started using Photoshop 15 years ago. It's design has changed very little over the years but version after version includes some new tool that makes you say to yourself, "...now they add this!". My favorite addition to the newest version (CS 5.1) is the new quick selection tool. It's totally eliminated the need for the extraction filter (thank goodness!). Lightroom is great for creative effects in post, but I needed Photoshop for the major image reconstruction. Be sure to check out the image reconstructions page in the Photogaphy menu. I started editing video on a mac with Apple's Final Cut software. I've been using Final Cut for just over three years and still learning the shortcuts. Most videos I shot with the sound recorded separately. I learned quickly to sync audio with video. Eventually, software like Plural Eyes eventually did the work for me. Over the years I found some more user friendly video editing software like Magix and eventually, with Windows 7, I was pleasantly surprised with the options and ease of Windows's software, Movie Maker. Now, whenever I have a project, I pick whichever software I think best suits the final project. The most recent websites I've worked on are listed in the Website menu option. They're both Wordpress and I've been fortunate enough to have an older brother teach me the ins and outs. I've found with the widget and sidebar options of Wordpress allows a lot of flexibility. In just the last year Weebly has done a fantastic job of improving this process and adding more options. |
